I built my business by using technology to leverage my time. Being on a tight budget at first, I focused on content marketing, social media marketing and referrals. I added in advertising much later, but by that time, I had already built a large social following and had been awarded by Marketcircle for out-marketing their own product for them. My Twitter following is STILL larger than theirs.
After being the world leading implementor for Marketcircle's Daylite product for 10 years. I started to look at the cloud.
Oddly enough as I was looking, Citrix had acquired Podio and was looking for aggressive partners like myself. They made me on of the first 18 Podio Preferred Partners in the world.
I worked with them for 3 years until they folded Podio under Sharefile. You would be amazed with what you can build with Podio. Sadly. it's not a great CRM candidate, much better for workflow management and structured data, we still use it today in the agency side of the business.
So I went on a hunt for a CRM to work with, I tried Base CRM, Zoho CRM, Active Campaign and now we use and support Agile CRM.
Over the years my business morphed from technology consulting, to trainer to business coaching and now Marketing Agency.
